Hat Dance

Austins 2nd grade dance. I was not able to attend unfortunately because I had to work. Dave was able to go and took this video for me. My favorite is Austin's facial expression at the very end (if you can stand to watch that long!)

By the way.... My last post about Dave getting "facebook" friends was not my post. Dave stole my identity and put that on himself. He was looking for a way to get more "mob wars" memebers!

Enjoy the film :)

FACEBOOK

Is there any 'Facebook' users out there? My husband is desperate for friends. Please comment if so, so he (I) can find you. Thanks a ton.

Taggies

I don't know about the rest of you, but, all 4 of my kids (when they were babies) would find the tag on any toy or blanket, and then suck on it. Dave and I used to joke that we should make a toy that was all tags!

Well the other day we found a company online called Taggies. They have a whole line of baby items and every single item has "taggies" for the babies to suck on. I immediately bought a blanket, duck toy, and "little taggies" for Oakland (I know, I am a sucker!) He LOVES all three items. However I found it quite IRONIC that the first time we gave him the "little taggies" he didn't suck on any of the cute tags.... No, he searched out their product tag and started sucking away on that!

Of course I took pictures:

By the by.... Here is my 5 month old baby weighing in at 19 pounds 2 ounces! By the by again... that is how big Erin was when she turned a year old!

Thing 1 and Thing 2

"The sun did not shine. It was too wet to play. So we sat in the house all that cold, cold, wet day..." (Dr. Seuss)

Today is Dr. Seuss' Birthday! To celebrate Bates Elementary had Dr. Seuss Day. The kids were able to bring their favorite Dr. Seuss books for their read-a-thon. They could also dress up as their favorite character from one of his books.

Being a working mother I never find out about anything until it is almost too late......! So it was 7:00 Sunday night when I was going through the MESS in Austin's backpack and I found the note about Dr. Seuss day. I mentioned this to the kids and of course they wanted to dress up. I said what are you planning on going as? They both looked at me and said what can you make? So with Billie's help (to make a pair of size 14 pants fit a size 10 little boy) we came up with Thing 1 and Thing 2!

Of course I got the pictures backward again so we will start with them coming home from school.... Thing 1 and Thing 2 with the make shift Cat in the Hat!
Thing 1 and Thing 2 (the blue in their hair is almost gone!)
Here is Erin before she left for Kindergarten! That was some heavy duty blue hair dye!
Thing 1 before school! We tried to fluff up his hair like the real Thing 1 but he decided he didn't want it "fluffed". So this is him semi-"fluffed".
They both said that they had an AWESOME day today...... I asked why and Erin said because she won a prize for the best costume and, Austin said it was because EVERYBODY loved his blue hair!!!
