Hodge Podge

Holy cow! I can't believe it is the end of May already! I have been so busy. I have even been too busy to blog... can you believe that? I thought I would do a quick run down of the past few weeks. They are not in order (because I do not know how to rearrange pictures once they have been downloaded.... anyone know?)

I love this picture. Ivy was playing beauty parlor (one of her favorite things to play). She had just finished painting my fingernails and toenails and needed another "customer". Dave and Austin were good sports and let her "pretty" them up. However, after Austin's toenails were all painted I found out that I was out of fingernail polish remover. Austin said "I am so dead if the guys see this!"
This picture is a little blurry (it was taken with our video camera). Erin graduated from Kindergarten today!!! I just adore Erin's kindergarten teacher... she has been so great with Erin this year.
So this picture is actually from today, also. Austin was playing around and knocked his head into the corner of the bricks. I was at school (thank goodness) but Dave said he could not believe how much blood there was. Here is Austin at the Doc's. I am so glad David thought to take a picture with his camera phone. Looks happy doesn't he? At least they color coordinated his bandage with his clothes :)
A couple weeks ago we were at the park and Dave was giving Oakland ice water out of his water bottle. I don't know if it was too cold for him or what but he kept spitting it out. Soon I am sure it became a game for him because he would laugh after he spit the water out. He got pretty good at it and was able to spit quite a stream of water from his mouth! (Notice his VERY TIGHT 12 month clothes!)
Also while at the park, I was trying to practice my photo taking skills (I still need a lot of practice... Ha) but here are the outcomes of my effort.

On the 16th we had a surprise birthday party for my mom. At the party, Ivy was running around outside and snagged her toe on something. She was pretty successful at ripping most of her toenail off! 2 weeks later her toenail is still hanging on by just the cutical. Every time I go to clip it it rips more and she screams and cries. I guess I will have to continue putting band-aids on it and just wait til it grows out. This picture does not do the "owie" justice!Mom at her surprise party with her very good friend Edna. It turned out to be a great party. She had about 50 people that came to wish her a happy birthday.
I have also been on 2 field trips, been in charge of a relief society social, been to Austin's baseball practices and games, judged science fair, and pack up my classroom for my new teaching position (yes I said new position!!) I will have to post more on that at a later time. It has definately been a very busy May!

Dance lessons anyone?

Erin is a HUGE Hannah Montana fan. She has seen the movie 2 times! Here is a cute little video of Sierra teaching all the kids the Hoedown Throwdown. Of course they are in dress up clothes (they are ALWAYS in dress up clothes.) We have our 2 Hannahs on the left and our 2 Cinderellas on the right!

Erin's 6th Birthday

April is a month filled with birthdays in our family. Erin's is one of them! Her birthday is on the 28th. We started her birthday fun with a friend party at the Bear Stuff N Factory. She and her buds had a ball choosing their animals and stuffing them. They then had a Wishing Star ceremony, games, and treats. They then gave us this coupon to go to Kiddie Kandids to get a free picture of all the kids and their new animal friends!
Oriah's Birthday is on May 6th so we had a family party for the 2 of them. Here they are blowing out their candles.
Their cake. (Not one of my best I am afraid to say!)
She also had a shared birthday with her cousin Kristian. His birthday is on the 26th of April. Here is Oakland sporting a very masculine bow! (and green peas all down his shirt~~ how embarassing!)
Here is Erin, Kristian, and Ivy (she was not about to be left out again on the candle blowing) blowing out the candles. This is the cake I had made for her friend birthday party but then went and left it on the counter when we left! So it is kind of girly for Kristian, but he didn't seem to mind.
A close up of the cake (once again, not one of my best! I was very short on time this weekend!)
Erin had a great birthday. She says her favorite present was her V-tech kids camera!!! It is pretty cute. We will have to post some of her pictures!
Happy Birthday to all of our April Birthdays!!!
