Welcome Home!
After being away for 45 days, mom finally got to come home. She was more than ready! The care at Pineview was wonderful, but nothing is more healing than being around the ones you love!
We had a big family BBQ to celebrate her return. Everyone was there including her 4 kids, 3 kid-in-laws, and 9 grandchildren (soon to be 11!)
We enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, fruit, veggies, ice cream, chips, and more! Needless to say no one went home hungry.
We got out the slip-and-slide to help burn off some of those calories that we put on with all of that delicious food.

Finally...Nice Weather!
Well, it only took us until June 14th to get some decent weather, so we decided to take full advantage of the sunshine! We took the kids to Toad's. Toad's has a hodge-podge of things: golf, mini-golf, go-carts, rock wall, batting cages, arcade, lazer tag.... enough to keep a family busy... and broke! We all had a great time, but the best part was just being out in the sunshine!
Erin was grumpy in this picture because she was having a hard time getting her ball to go in the hole! Ivy's solution was pick the ball up and put it in :)
Wow! I didn't realize how large I looked... Nothing like a picture to tell ya how things really are. (Sad thing is, I am only 22 weeks along...I still have 18 more weeks to grow!)
The Go-carts were among the kids favorites. Unfortunately, Ivy and I did not get to go (Ivy being too small and me being pregnant.) So Dave got to take the other 2 on the track.
Here we are enjoying the race. Dave gave some poor kid whiplash when the kid suddenly slammed on his breaks and Dave could not stop in time.... ran into the back of him... Oops! I sure hope all of you are enjoying your summers!

Batters up!

Dinner with Grandma
Earlier this week we were able to take mom out of her "Prison" (as she calls it) and go to dinner for a couple of hours. She really enjoyed the break and the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren. Mom has made great progress at the rehabilitation center. They are projecting that she will be ready to come home on the 26th!
