Baby Goats

Dave's mom has some friends that just had baby goats, so we took the kids out to see them last night. They were so stinking funny to watch! The goats (18 total!) are only 10 days old. They were just the cuddliest little things, when you would hold them they would snuggle right up into you. They had just had their horns taken off (for whatever reason) and their poor little heads looked horrible! Ivy was very concerned about their heads, she wanted me to get a band-aid for them.

Ivy wasn't so sure about the whole thing, but at least she was willing to hold one, Austin on the other hand didn't want anything to do with them, he thought they were "gross". Erin thought the whole thing was awesome, she didn't want to give hers up. She was pretty sure that we were going to take one home! That is all I need.... a baby goat running around the house.

Oh my gosh, how cute! And what a fun opportunity for the kids. That's funny that Austin thought they were "gross."

oh So cute! We used to have goats too! 2 of them, we tried taking their horns off with special elastics, but all it did was cut off the baby horns so when they grew back they were flat tops! That looked even worse---oh well, I guess we're not farmers!

Oh, I forgot to respond to your question on my post about nat's baby shower. She is...36 weeks along. I know, she totally doesn't look like it. She is one of those wonderfully genetically blessed people. She just looks like there is a ball under her shirt. No poofiness anywhere else. Grrrr.

exAhh, they do look really cute and cuddly although I can see where the horns are a little freaky looking! Glad Ivy was able to look past and see that inner beauty! :)
