I was tagged today. I usually don't answer "tags" but find that I enjoy reading other peoples answers when they get tagged. I think it is fun to learn more about my friends and family. So I decided I would branch out and answer this tag!
I Heart --- David Edward Gifford
How long have you been together? We met in the first grade, but we started dating 3 1/2 years before we got married....so.... 11 1/2 ish years.
How old is he? 32 (33 in March)
Who eats more? Really, we need to ask???? O.K. David
Who said "I love you" first? How sad is it that I can't remember... However, I am pretty sure it was David.
Who is taller? David by about a foot.
Who sings better? ME... David is so tone deaf!
Who is smarter? Depends on the subject. Me when it comes to schooly subjects, David when it comes to senseless trivia, current events, politics, etc.
Who does the laundry? Thank goodness I married someone who truly believes in doing his part so I would say it is a 50/50 on this one.
Who does the dishes? Sadly enough... David usually gets stuck doing the dishes.... this is my most dreaded chore! (that and toilets, but I usually end up with the toilet one!)
Who pays the bills? Me. The way Dave balances a checkbook DRIVES ME CRAZY!
Who mows the lawn? Neither of us :) Lucky for us my brother-in-law owns a lawn business!
Who cooks dinner? Once again, I think it is pretty 50/50. Whoever gets home first gets to start dinner.
Who drives when you are together? David, it's safer this way:) . I hate driving, especially at night. I am so night blind!
Who is more stubborn? Definitely me. (Sad but True)
Who kissed who first? David kissed me first, on my parents front porch. How Romantic!
Who proposed? David proposed to me at the Dickens Festival in SLC.
Who is more sensitive? Me! (And I am 10 times worse when I am pregnant)
Who has more friends? Since we have known each other since childhood we grew up with the same people and shared most of the same friends.
Who has more siblings? Same- I have 2 sisters and a brother and so does he.
Who wears the pants in the family? Thank goodness we both wear pants or that could get ugly! :0
Thanks Karlenn for tagging me, that was fun. I tag whoever wants to branch out and share info about the one they love.

"Jazz" Party
We had a big family party for Austin on Sunday. The only person not attending was Uncle Randy!!! We sure missed him. We had a Jazz themed party. Here are pictures of the boys in a rowdy game of basketball! (please excuse that I forgot to turn my "red eye" feature on, so everyone has red eyes! I should have hired David M. to be my party photographer!)
Shawn and Hunter.
Sierra helping to entertain the little ones.
David took this very flattering (hardly) shot of me while I was decorating Austin's cake.
Hunter giving it a shot without Dad's help.
Tristan trying to steal Ivy's ice cream.
Hunter showing off his chocolaty smile.
Austin was very spoiled with all of the neat gifts he received.

Austin's Birthday
Austin turned 7 this past Thursday! I can't believe he is that old. We celebrated with a small cake and a few presents, at home, with the family on Thursday. He was completely fine with this, knowing he had his "Birthday Surprise" on Friday. We have been hyping him up all week for his surprise.
On Friday we dropped the girls and mom off at the babysitter (how is that for rude!!!) and we picked up Caden. We started the evening off with dessert first (every boys dream... dessert before dinner). This is when he finally was told his big surprise....We were going to the Jazz Game! Just so you know, Austin LOVES the Jazz. He knows all the players names, numbers, pant sizes.....etc. He especially likes BOOZER! Boozer is his idol. Whenever Austin is playing basketball he is Boozer, he even has a boozer jersey. When Austin found out we were going to the Jazz he was so excited that the whole restaurant heard about it!
Stupid us, we decided after dessert that we would just leave the car in valet and walk to the game..."It's not that far!" claims Dave. A mile and a half later we were finally there with frost bit toes and ears. However this did not slow the boys down (me a little :), OK a lot, I am the biggest wimp when it comes to being cold.)
The Jazz game was awesome. The Jazz beat the Kings 127 to 113. They were nice enough to entertain the boys with 3 technicals (one from the Kings coach and 2 from Ron Artest which of coarse got him kicked out of the game) and lots of three point shots. However, much to my dismay, Austin's first words as we sat down in our nose-bleed seats was "Look Caden, CHEERLEADERS!" After lots of hot dogs, chips, drinks, and candy (good thing we had dessert first!) We made it home to relieve the babysitters. Austin gave the whole evening 2 thumbs up!

At the restaurant is when we gave Austin this hoodie and the Jazz tickets.
The Melting Pot! My absolute FAVORITE restaurant!
This is the only picture I remembered to take of the actual game, oops!

Let it Snow!
Wow did it snow!!! Last night we got about 2 feet of snow. Anywhere else they would have canceled everything, but not in good old Utah, so we risked our lives this morning to get to work and school. Normally I have a 20 minute drive to work, today it was 1 hour! I think I am ready for summer! Don't worry Randy, as you can see from the pictures, we saved plenty for you to shovel when you come down on Friday!

Odyssey Christmas Store
At Odyssey Elementary School (my new school). We had a Christmas store for the 5th and 6th grade (which I teach). So many kind and generous people made donations to the cause. The kids were able to choose up to 5 or 6 items to "buy" (with their school behavior tokens) for their families for Christmas. What a wonderful experience this was for me to watch the excitement in the children's eyes. It helped to remind me of how blessed my family is and how thankful I am for that. I just wanted to share some of the experience with you!
