As you all know, snow eventually turns into spring run-off. Well, A LOT of snow equals A LOT of spring run off! It has been a very wet April and May which has ended in lots of flooding in many areas. We drove up on Sunday to take pictures of some of this flooding.

The flooding has been so bad. City workers had to work all Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday trying to divert the water so that it didn't ruin more cabins and houses. The picture below is/ Was the driveway to a brand new cabin... Now it is a washed away mess.
This is the road that takes you up to my parents cabin. Usually this is a tiny little trickle of water that goes through a pipe under the road.....

There were also a lot of places on the road that had flooded.
The scary thing is that this is just the beginning. There is still a lot of snow in them there mountains and a lot of rain still in the forecast!!! (Read my next post to see comparisons from April to May)

How far did you go up! Were you able to see "Our" Cabin?.... scary scary....Utah weather, this is why we should follow McClellan's lead and head to Texas where they expect lots of water. JK
and here we are in Texas praying for rain!! We are at least 12 inches behind for the year.
