We had a big Birthday bash for the kiddo with a Halloween theme (what else would you expect this time of year!) He loved the boxes and wrapping from the presents much more than he enjoyed the present itself! Ha!
Here is the birthday cake I made him. Note to self: Black frosting was a bad choice!
He was a little timid at first with the cake and just poked a finger at it.
Then after tasting it he dove right in.
What a MESS!
Thus the note to myself about black frosting... he was stained for days!

Oh, that cake is SO CUTE. You make the best cakes, Mindi. I need to be better about making cakes for my fam. And interesting that the black frosting stained your little man. Happy Birthday, Oakland! He is doing so well! And doing things my 16-month-old can't do yet. :)
What a great cake. Happy Birthday Oakland. He is a big boy. My Reese turns two on the 25th and I think that she weighs in at a little over 24 lbs, if she has just eaten and is fully dressed with a wet diaper. On the other hand she is still working on getting her eye teeth.
