What a Slacker!

Well I am a slacker. It has been almost a month now since I have updated my blog. I have been SO busy with school, work, kids, etc. I know that is not a good excuse so I am going to try and catch up a months worth of news in one blog (hope you don't get bored)!

MISSOURI
I took a second trip to Missouri over my spring break (this is the 2nd trip back in less than 6 weeks.) Unfortunately both trips were to attend funerals. However, on both trips I was able to visit with cousins that I don't see very often. I am a geek and forgot to take my camera this time so my dear cousin Sandy is sending my a CD of the pictures she took. I will put them on my blog when I get the CD.

BLACK HAWK
I have been telling you all about how this winter we have had all sorts of things come down in our backyard, deer, moose, rabbits, cougars, well today we had a BLACK HAWK! The army decided to use the mountain in our backyard to do some training. They would fly over our house and land in different spots on the mountain and then they would all jump out, run around, jump back in the helicopter, take off, then do it all over again. Needless to say the kids were riveted in our backyard the entire time.

This is not a great picture but it shows how close they were to our house. This is our swing set, the helicopter landed less than 100 yards away.

Here they are flying over our house.

EASTER!

Easter was a fun holiday (always is). The kids went to our city Easter egg hunt on Saturday. Saturday evening we died our Easter eggs and set out our baskets. Sunday we had our own little Easter egg hunt in the morning, went to church, and then had Easter dinner at Dave's parents house.

Erin Looking for Easter eggs!

Look what the Easter bunny brought!
Grandma Gifford gave the girls some cute play jewelry that they thought was FABULOUS!
Erin thought the jewelry was great but liked the purse even more.

FOURTH AND FINAL
No this is not a sports intro, but it is an announcement. Dave and I are expecting our fourth (and final) baby. We are due around October 15th. That gives me just under 7 months to come up with an "O" name that I like! Much more difficult than A, E, and I. I may have to break our pattern if I don't come up with one. Here are our most recent ultra sound pictures. (For some reason they are all backwards and upside down, but you get the general idea.)

The part to the left shows the heartbeat.
Well I am finally updated (for now). That is until I get my CD from Sandy then I will post the Missouri trip pictures.

Yikes!

Check out what was in my backyard a few nights ago! Yup a cougar. We have had so much snow this year that it is pushing all the wildlife down out of the mountains in search of food. We have had moose, deer, rabbits, etc. This, however, is the first time we have had someone from the cat family (excluding my own cats!). I didn't actually see the cat myself. My neighbors dogs were going crazy so he said he went out to see what their problem was. He said he looked up and there was the cougar coming over our hill in our backyard coming toward his yard in search of supper (he assumed his dogs)! The next day he called to let us know. He said he found a paw print bigger than his hand in our backyard. Needless to say I have kept me kids and my cats from going outside the last couple of days!
