Poor little Ivy had tubes put in her ears today! For awhile now, we have been really concerned about her hearing and her inability to talk. They finally decided that she was not hearing well because she had so much fluid in her inner ear. They said it was like what you hear when you are underwater. So this morning BRIGHT AND EARLY (I am not a morning person!) we drove to the hospital in a foot of snow (I guess it was too early for snow plows). It was a simple and quick procedure and she was in recovery 15 minutes later. However, she did not like waking up to strange people with sore ears. I heard her screaming out in the waiting room!!! Poor thing. Here are some pictures of my "happy" girl in the hopital!

They wouldn't let us go home until she quit screaming and crying, and until she drank some juice without throwing it up. In the picture above, she was watching Dora and did not want to be disturbed to smile for a piture.
Now we are home and much happier (unless we are putting in ear drops!) especially since she gets to eat ice cream for lunch! (Watching Elmo this time! What a T.V. aholic)
